Family Constellations with
Cristina Salvoldi

Group workshops and one-on-one sessions in Knysna and Cape Town

Most of us carry a quiet longing to know that we belong: in our family, in our work, in our own lives. Family Constellations is a way of looking at that longing. It explores the patterns we inherit from our families and the wider systems we are part of, and it helps us find our own place within them.

Much of what shapes us sits below our awareness, and we often know far more than we realise. In a session, people (or objects) stand in for members of a family or system. Seeing that arrangement in space can bring some of this knowing to the front of the mind, in a way that talking alone often doesn’t. People often come to this work when they feel stuck in a pattern, carry an unanswered question about their family, or simply want to understand where they stand.

About Me

I’m Cristina Salvoldi, a Family Constellations facilitator and sculptor, born in Namibia and now based in Knysna. I’m constantly seeking to understand myself better, and I’m fascinated by how much information and wisdom our unconscious holds. I find that both art and family constellations are complementary and powerful ways to access this knowledge. I’m learning that we are better versions of ourselves in community, and community is at the heart of both.

Training and Background

I trained in African Constellations (2024–2025) under various established facilitators, including Tanja Meyburgh, as well as under Richard Higgins. I’m a member of the Systemic Constellations Association of Southern Africa (SCASA)  and work within its Code of Ethics.

I’m also a sculptor by profession. I’m drawn to the way space, form and the body hold what we know, and I bring that curiosity to my work.

What this is, and what it isn't

Family Constellations is a reflective, experiential approach. It is not psychotherapy, counselling or medical treatment, and it doesn’t replace them. If you are in crisis, or are being treated for a mental health condition, please speak to your doctor or therapist before attending, and feel free to talk it through with me first. Everything shared in a session is kept confidential.

The process is intended to offer insights and perspectives, but it should not be used as empirical proof of any kind.

Group Workshops

Small groups, where you can bring a question or situation to explore, or take part as a representative for someone else’s. You don’t need a topic of your own to attend. Contact me to find out when the next workshop is, or join my WhatsApp announcements group for your area:
